Dental Crowns in Fort Lauderdale
When a tooth becomes damaged, Dr. Smith or Dr. Albe may recommend a crown. Made of porcelain, porcelain and metal, or all metal, a crown is a custom, lab-made restoration that fits snugly over a damaged tooth. While fillings can repair some cavities, larger cavities, chips, cracks, and old dental work may require a crown. When possible, your dentist will place a white crown to keep your smile looking natural and beautiful.
It will take two visits to place your crown. At your initial appointment, we'll prepare your tooth, make an impression for the lab, and attach a temporary crown to your tooth. The impression will be sent to our local dental lab where your crown will be fabricated. After your new crown arrives in our office, you'll visit again so that the dentist can remove your temporary and place the final restoration. If necessary, we'll make slight adjustments to ensure a proper fit.
As your general and cosmetic dentists, Dr. Smith and Dr. Albe provide amazing results in complete comfort. Patients from Fort Lauderdale, Wilton Manors, Lauderdale by the Sea, Oakland Park, Coral Ridge, and beyond make our office their home for sensational smiles.
